Including Adler Steel team-members and their spouses/partners, about 100 guests attended the event, which included an Indo-Western Fusion Music Concert by Irshad Khan World Ensemble (http://www.irshadkhan.net/).
Guests had a choice of drinks and hors d'oeuvres to start the evening. Emcees Vinay and Pierre entertained along with managing the show. All Adler members introduced themselves at the podium. Vinay welcomed the guests (please see below), followed by Irshad Khan's first presentation.
A sumptuous dinner was next and another two numbers by Irshad. A huge, delicious cake was cut by the Adler ladies led by Ms. Indu Lal, Shareholder-Director, with all other members at the podium. Dessert and a final number by Irshad followed.
All guests were given a specially-packaged, special Ontario parting gift. The evening ended well past midnight.

Ten years and six months ago - in June 2001 - my Mom, Ms. Indu Lal, incorporated this Company which today has enriched itself with the participation of all friends and team-members present here and the many more not present here.
A decade in a lifetime is transitory but it is also a long period - it makes up almost three federal elections and three Olympic Games. But for me time has passed too fast!
In these ten years we have done a lot of things - have grown from sales of $4 million in the first 9 month year to $50 million last year, from a single member family to one of 15 and much wider resources. We also consolidated our position in China with our own company for several years now. We have also established our offices in Singapore & the USA.
Three main factors have contributed to our success and established our dedication to our business:
* Our sharp focus in terms of the products we sell, the very specialized business we do, and the markets we cater to. We have chosen these attributes with care and have persevered with them and will continue to do so;
* Our conservative, risk-averse approach to business, with broad risk-assessment and risk-mitigation procedures; and
* Our comprehensive knowledge of products, business procedures and markets.
These qualifications have held us in good stead and make us well placed to face the new challenges which are thrown up in the post-2007 era. Conditions worldwide are changing at a very fast pace and the ability to foresee them and adjust to the new realities is going to be crucial. I believe we have the wherewithal to do so and are also continually learning to cope with the changes.
Relationships are our most valuable assets. Like good wine, good relationships become better and better with every passing year. This has been our singular achievement. We are here because of YOU.
I am proud to have a multi-cultural and diverse but solidly united family of team members present here.
Time does and will pass quickly, and I hope to repeat this evening with an even bigger gathering again in 2021! Once again, I thank you from my heart for your presence and really hope you enjoy this evening.
